7-11-09 Peach Pie

It's common knowledge that my favorite fruit in the entire world is a peach. I especially love locally-grown peaches. Arkansas is no Georgia, I guess, but our peaches are really quite tasty. On my way back from a work trip I stopped at Hardin Farms and picked up two quarts of fresh Arkansas peaches (for only $4!). Seeing as they were already really ripe when I bought them, I had only one thing in mind: PIE! Few things in the world are as wonderful as peach pie (in my humble opinion). Anyway, I sliced off a hunk this afternoon while it was still warm from the oven. I paired it with a few scoops of Blue Bell Ice cream and I was about as close to heaven as I can imagine being in the middle of July in Arkansas.
